completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara, he then studied arts at Istanbul's Mimar
Sinan University and philosophy at Istanbul University. His pen-name is made up of the names "Harun" (Aaron) and "Yahya" (John), in memory of the two esteemed prophets who fought against lack of faith.
